Ian Marten

Tutor

Ian studied Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UC Berkeley. He then moved to Switzerland to conduct cancer research and teach university level biology courses at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He decided to pursue teaching full-time as it felt more important than developing novel cancer therapies.

This passion started at a young age. As a middle schooler, Ian was tutoring other kids in his neighborhood. He loves helping students realize they can take on big challenges if they can manage their emotions and marshall their resources effectively.

Whenever he gets the chance, Ian enjoys exploring the outdoors, eating soup, and dancing.
